One day Mallory was an efficient small-town home economics teacher, comfortably dating the school principal.

The next she was caught in a mad whirl--juggling two suitors; battling hitherto unknown feelings of jealousy and resentment; watching in faint horror as a beautiful blonde captivated her scholarly widowed father; and working into the wee hours rewriting a book to the tune called by C.
