Lauren Nelson has never been an ordinary girl. All her life, she has had the odd ability to sense certain things before they happen. She's never understood why. As she prepares to graduate from high school, she discovers that she can see things too. They are dark things, dangerous things that no one else can see. Lauren's abilities spring from something called, "the Talent." It is something only a handful of people in the world possess. Now, an evil force pursues her claiming that she is, "the Chosen One." Her only hope for survival is a mysterious man named, "Cleave." Together they must unravel the mystery behind Lauren's possession of the Talent and find out what it means for her to be, "the Chosen One."
