City Bird Song: A Fable

This quest fable for teens and grown-ups alike explores storytelling, materialism, loss, love and growing up in New York City. In City Bird Song, a magical pigeon named Essuru sings of his voyage from Heaven to Earth long ago, to give humanity the Secret of Death. He sings of how he was led astray-diverted to the present day and trapped in New York-when he should have arrived on earth millennia earlier. To fulfill his errand, Essuru must leap across time, back to the ancient city that he originally set out for. But evil bars the way, and Essuru's only allies are a boy and a girl who, though separated by centuries, join him in a battle against Death itself for humanity's liberation.
