When his lung-damaged daughter, Katya, lies at Death's door, Dr. Gastro Nister goes to extremes to save her, awakening a set of ancient genes left over from primeval times. Not only does Katya survive, but now she has astonishing new inhuman abilities. But these new abilities come with a price, one that Dr. Nister never envisioned.

Years later, when searching the Pacific Ocean for a lost submarine, two marine biologists stumble upon an island in turmoil. A crazed, sadistic leader is training the indigenous inhabitants to be an army, one that practices cannibalism. Among his aides are Dr. Nister and his daughter, who have genetically altered hundreds of the chief's supporters.

Finding themselves embroiled in this sick plot, the marine biologists discover something even more evil--a plan that threatens the entire globe with a genetic future that will return mankind to its most primitive past, to the sea from which we came.
