About This Book
Before the killer virus struck, I was known as James S. Fitzgerald, Petty Officer First Class, United States Coast Guard. When I came down with the virus, I knew my time was short. One night I went to bed for what I thought was the last time. Instead of dying, I woke up to find myself alone. Life wasn't as simple as some would believe. In Book #1, "After The Last Virus," I tell about fighting to survive, and my cross country trip in search of a new home, and a sustainable life. One night, when my pup and I went to sleep in a barn in South Dakota, we weren't expecting to have to wake up and rescue a young lady, and two small children. At least we no longer alone. When we finally made it to the end of my dream, we found others. Not many, mind you, but enough to come together and make a new start. I even found love and started a family. Still, things weren't simple. Surviving in this new, empty world was rough, especially one day when I heard that - Christmas was dead...
