Christmas at Spindle Bottom

Hetty and Harold Holroyd and their friends are walking in the wood, when they find that nearby Wanders Farm is not empty as they thought. The two families of ordinary country children are introduced to the experiences of a gipsy family unable to travel the countryside in a hard winter, and the way in which, in spite of all the children and a local landowner do to help them, the gipsies' inescapable wanderlust reasserts itself. But Spindle Bottom is deep under snow and Hetty is determined that their new friends shall have a real Christmas...
