About This Book

Anthe has seen how the world ends: in sand. Biting, tearing, smothering sand.

After finding a dark spot on the Wall, the permanent sandstorm that surrounds her desert home, the scout Anthe turns to the Elders of her forgotten tribe. It has been their task for generations to watch the Wall for this one sign, foretelling it's movement and destruction of everything. But all this has been forgotten by those outside the tribe. Anthe barely believes it herself.

Anthe and her scouting partner Dnoces are tasked with reminding and warning everyone. Encountering a land already on edge, the difficulty of the task becomes more apparent. Laughter assaults them at every meeting. Apocalyptic cultists who worship the Wall creep in the shadows. NightWalkers, the silent spirits of the dunes, follow step for step. A rumor of an army rising doesn't help either.

With no one listening, Anthe must decide how far she's willing to go to save their lives and who she is willing to trust in this task: even herself
