In a new job, but unable to forget the horrors of his last assignment, freelance photojournalist Michael Fraser is unprepared for the tragedy that introduces him to Anna Todini. When he agrees to help her, he finds himself entangled in an international conspiracy that aims to undermine the future of the West's military defences. Against his better judgement, but no longer able to ignore attempts on Anna's life, Fraser is forced to relive his past and fight for his own survival in remote and dangerous regions of Eastern Europe To keep Anna alive Fraser must depend on men who operate outside the law and he has somehow to discover whether or not he has been fatally betrayed.
