Cheo Reo

Curt Roper is an Army cop (CID) sent to the remote village of Cheo Reo to disrupt the opium operation coming out of the jungles that is funneling funds to the Viet Cong. Things aren't as they seem at the American outpost. He runs into CIA operatives, battle hardened Green Berets and corrupt U.S. and Vietnamese officials. At the same time Vietcong battalions are massing in the hills, and thousands Montagnard tribespeople are advancing with the goal of reclaiming their mountain homeland. Almost immediately after arriving at Cheo Reo, Roper finds out there is already a bounty on his head. Closing in on the smuggling operation, he discovers that someone inside the base has a stake in it, and is willing to kill to protect that stake.
