As an economics adviser for the United States Mission, Marti Holland attended many diplomatic receptions at the United Nations. But never before had she heard two men discuss plans for the assassination of a sheikh.

Then she learned that Gideon Sanders, an Israeli film director, was making a movie about an assassination. She thought her fears were groundless. But later, when a French diplomat was found dead, Marti's suspicions about Gideon resurfaced.
