About This Book

An author fears he has lost his creativity after a terrible accident. During the long process of recovering from a TBI, he tries to recreate his life metaphorically and vicariously in a series of fictitious short stories. Using a blend of fantasy and real-world situations he struggles to re-connect with a female character - who may or may not be real - he sees as the source of his inspiration. While under pressure from his agent to produce, the author tries to capture his past and present.
The stories include: a janitor helps a child inside an orphanage maintain a reality only he can see. A young man lives blissfully among spirits in a graveyard. A priest tries to avert tragedy between a conflicted couple. A peaceful world, free of contradiction, is turned upside-down by a movement of self-importance. A man trying to capture the beauty of endangered tigers on film encounters poachers. A French lieutenant returns to his home town after WWI to find it very changed.
