Catharsis

A short story from the Primal Crusades urban fantasy world, featuring were-creatures, LGBT characters, and coming-of-age struggles. Catharsis features Jasper Weisspapir, a were-skunk, as he navigates college, first loves, the club scene, and finding himself. Trigger Warning: contains drug use, sexuality, and HIV.There's a hidden layer to the world, where some souls have been touched by the Moon. These few transform into were-creatures called Shifters. Learning to control these Shifts, the senses that come with your beast, and trying to connect with other Shifters adds a whole new layer of complexity for college student, Jasper. He finds other Shifters, as well as his queer tribe at the university's pride club. He'll need both when he meets the glamorous Lee McClaire (a white sable), and explores the club kid's life of dancing, drugs, and sexual escapades. When things take a turn for the worst, Jasper is left floundering, struggling to redefine himself.With art, good friends, and soul-searching, Jasper needs to face his life and find his truth.
