      Brady Lane, a forty- five-year-old year old retired civilian special agent with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID), returns to active service on a short-term contract. His request by the CID Commanding General is to investigate the murder of a CID agent, Stewart Walker a close friend of Brady's.
