About This Book

DANCE OF DOOM.

From the moment the troupe gathers in the remote mountain resort to rehearse their new ballet, the BALLAD OF LORRAINE, things go wrong. At the first practice a falling sandbag nearly crushes the prima ballerina, Nicolette Artaude. Later, at Castle Morvant, where Nicolette is staying, someone locks her into an airtight vault. She almost suffocates before her eccentric hostess finds and releases her.

There is, Nicolette soon realizes, a terrifying pattern to the accidents. Her role in the ballet is that of Lorraine, a medium who incurs the wrath of a ghost. The things that happen to Lorraine are ominously like what is happening to Nicolette -- and the ballet ends with Lorraine's death by fire. Is Nicolette doomed to the same fate?
