About This Book

London 1925 the author of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries is knighted as the fatherof modern forensic science methods for crime investigation. Thus began the English explosion of mystery writers developing detective characters beloved by the reading public. More than likely several manufacturers of magnifying glasses made a fortune selling this device to thousands of young people dreaming of becoming detectives. This would also be true for makers of the odd floppy caps. A baffling assasination of a minor government official has occurred in London in 1925. It is a case without any motive and no clues to the identity of the killers. Famous detectives become involved trying to solve the case often with humorous results. It becomes a high profile incident with the public as the investigation begins to drag along. An official of the office of the Exchequer has been murdered and public announcements from Scotland Tard dwindle down to "it is an on-going investigation." Everyone knew that meant no one had a clue about anything.. To add to the confusion the MPs in parliament begin to take the heat from their constituents. They create a special investigation board to elect their own investigator to take over the case.Scotland Yard is enraged by this move but they have to accept their decision. Now there are opposing forces investigating the same case leading to confusion and conflicts. See how many fictional characters you can identify in this comedic mystery. .
