Accompanying Nicole to Australia was her foster mother's idea. Personally, Sally thought the whole idea was crazy!

Sally expected trouble. It came, but it was from Ray's older brother, Kort, a domineering, aggravating man. Sally couldn't stand him -- so how could she be in love with him?

Sally Prentice's young foster-sister Nicole was a nice sensible girl, but she was very young -- and when she decided to go out to Australia to marry her pen-friend Ray Lander, she begged Sally to make the trip with her until everything was sorted out, and Sally was only too pleased to agree. She felt the only fly in the ointment was likely to be Ray's older brother, Kort, who disapproved of the whole thing -- and how right she was!

Unfortunately it was herself rather than Nicole who had to bear the brunt of Kort's interference -- although that didn't prevent her falling in love with him. At which point Kort's girl-friend, Gracia Lester, decided to make her presence felt!
