By the Numbers

Four short stories dealing with numbers. The first, 2035 is the year in which an alien invasion of earth takes place. 9.0 deals with a very real and pressing problem, the results of injecting oil residue back into the earth. Oklahoma has seen a hundredfold increase in earthquakes since the practice came into wide use. The Thirteen deals with the premise that some people will do anything for the right amount of money, even to the point of accepting a possible death sentence in exchange for a million dollars. 1551 is the odd ball of the group and takes place during the reign of Henry VIII.
