DEATHWATCH!
It's too late to turn back. Henry Tompkins and his younger brother Paul are passengers in the battered old van driven by Luke Hilliard with his sister, Amber. Nineteen-year-old Luke seems so sure of himself...until he drives the van off the road and crashes.

Now they're lost in a desolate army artillery range in the middle of the burning hot Mojave Desert. They've got no food, no shelter from the sun's rays, and nowhere near enough water.

Not even their worst nightmares can compare with the dangers of scorpions, snakes, coyotes, and deadly open mine-shafts. Meanwhile, night is falling, and the buzzards are circling above...
