Who's got the button?

It's an old fashioned game of hide and seek. Only, Jenny Spaulding doesn't know who's hiding or what she's looking for. What she does know is the loser end up dead.

The police say Jenny's journalist father committed suicide. Jenny suspects he was murdered before he could publish a damning expose.

And lawyer Peter Darien's sure that Gareth Spauling was on to something that would shock even laid back California. Smooth-talking, fast-living Peter isn't exactly Jenny's style, but he's a good man to have in a pinch.
