About This Book

In book on of the Rainbow Trilogy, The entire forest family wanted for the birth of Evan, our little Maestro of the Rainforest. As he grew into loving, the little leader of the forest, he devised a plan to save the beautiful liana Blossoms. He brought a new harmony to the music in the forest. Now Evan, our loving Little Maestro, is off on a new adventure. In this third book, The Butterfly Peddler, Evan leaves his rainforest home and travels to the fascinating and mystic Cloud Forest. His Journey to help the butterflies proves dangerous indeed as he seeks out the legendary Butterfly Peddler. Everyone in the forest knows that only Peddler can help save the endangered monarch butterflies. What an exciting adventure it will be to find this mystery man. We get to fly in a wonderful air ship and meet funny, new characters as we sky trek with Evan on his sturdy rope swings. And, We'll talk to most magnificent man of all, the amazing Butterfly Peddler. Hang on, ride high, kiss your cares goodbye as you soar with the Little Maestro into the enchanted Cloud Forest. I want to thank Gillian Warltier who is with the Information Office of the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, Cambridge, United Kingdom. With the kind permission of this wonderful organization I was able to cite information from the Cloud Forest Agenda. Thank you for helping me spread information that seems too magical to be factual, but is. With the help of UNEP-WCMC I was able to describe the lovely trees, plants and animals of the Cloud Forest. And of course the lovely Monarch Butterflies say, "Thanks for being there." M. Catherine Bunton has taught Literature at St. Louis Community College for the past twenty-five years. Her course theme is Text and Texture: How Characters make you feel the words. Children especially love strong characters that they can believe in and look to for inspiration. You will find these inspirational characters in her Rainbow Trilogy: The Little Maestro, Star-Girl, and now The Butterfly Peddler.
