The world watches as Truman King's band, Old Country Roses, breaks up publicly and painfully. In private, Truman's grieving for a different loss--the end of his relationship with long-time songwriting partner and lover Kevin Braedon. He leaves Atlanta--possibly for good--with plans to reclaim his life in the outskirts of Austin, Texas. There, Truman buys a fixer-upper house, hires the hottest contractor in Texas, and gets to work.

Vanraj Desai draws a firm line between his business and personal lives. He values his culture and loves his family. He intends to honor both by resisting everything Truman King has to offer.
