Bryce's Thanksgiving Blessing

Bryce Randall gave up living when his pa and brother passed away close together. He left the ranch go to ruin, drowned his sorrows in a bottle, and became the town drunk. That was until Brook McKenzie married him while he was passed out cold in a drunken stupor and took him home with her.

Brook McKenzie always had a secret love for Bryce Randall. She owed his late pa and brother for helping her when her pa passed on. When she went to the mercantile to stock up on supplies for Thanksgiving, Bryce was passed out in a chair by the door. She took pity on him, plus her heart couldn't walk away, and had the preacher marry them even though Bryce didn't speak the words to the marriage ceremony or sign the certificate.
