Technical film researcher Doris Hudson was dismayed by her transfer from Louisiana to Wyoming to assemble motion picture material in the experimental laboratories of the King Abernathy Corporation. Doris was afraid that happy-go-lucky producer Mike Williams would quickly forget her; afraid that life among traditionally cold-blooded scientists and engineers would be dull.

However, Mike also assigned himself to the project to make certain Doris wouldn't forget him under the bright stars of Wyoming. Paul Barnett and Tom Morrow quickly demonstrated that scientists and engineers were no more impervious to feminine allure than other men. And when certain hush-hush guided missile data disappeared from her desk, Doris discovered that life among space age pioneers could be both frightening and exciting.
