About This Book

Synopsis:
When the police manage to break down the door, the man who had locked himself inside appears to have committed suicide by poisoning himself. The autopsy reveals that the cause of death was an overdose of antifreeze. A few days later, the man's step-daughter daughter, Editha, makes an attempt on her own life and in her suicide note claims responsibility for her step-father's death as well as the death of her real father several years before. The young woman survives her suicide attempt and is eventually sentenced to life in prison. Her sister, Sibley, appeals to Grace Sanders to help free Editha.
