Boss Bride

A woman's place is in the home, and she should strive to be no more than an asset to any man who chooses her for his bride. This did not fit Angela Banks' aspirations in the slightest. Regrettably her remarkable book keeping skills and associated ambitions beyond those socially accepted, merely frustrated her. That is until the letter arrived from out West where her maternal aunt ran a successful family business. Angela was more than relieved to take the train journey with her parents' blessing, to keep the books for the family's fur trading business in this unknown territory. Alas, as is the norm, the life which she was to take up failed to meet her expectations. The home was in disarray; her aunt was a mere shell of the strong lady Angela remembered as a beloved matriarch; the business was a mysterious mayhem; and the townsfolk were less than accepting of a business-minded girl. Business salvation came in the form of a fur trader, and life started looking up. The home front was eased into order and Angela became happier with life in Idaho. Until her erstwhile chaperone turned everything upside down. Was Angela wrong to trust the handsome young Trapper over her father's trusted friend? Would she fail her dear aunt and all that her family had worked so hard to gain, or could she somehow save all that looked to be lost?
