Born of Fire

Inspired by traditional Irish folktales of changelings, fickle magic, and mischievous fairies, "Born of Fire" tells the story of Aodhßn, a young basketmaker with painful burn scars from a spell gone wrong. Though successful in his business and respected by his community, love eludes him. One Midsummer's Eve, his beautiful singing voice catches the attention of the local fairies and they abduct him, putting him under an enchantment. He forgets his home and his dream of finding true love, and even starts to believe he's a fairy himself. When the fairies kidnap Cainnech, a handsome youth from Dublin, Aodhßn remembers his own humanity and becomes determined to free them both from the fairies' thrall. But the fairies do not let go of what they want easily, and Aodhßn risks losing Cainnech in the process.
