Gunn heads for Plata Butte, right in the heart of Apache country, when he receives a desperate plea for help from Trilla Collins, an old friend of his dead wife. When he arrives at his destination and asks where he can find Trilla, everyone suddenly plays dumb. Gunn wants to know why?



He finds out soon enough when he locks horns with Mel Norton, the mean, rich roughneck who owns and controls the town. Gunn has to use a lot of deft manipulation to discover Trilla's whereabouts, but in the end it's worth his while because she's one unforgettable woman—who knows how to show her thanks...
