About This Book

Dudley, a new born moose, is separated from his mother, Clara, when a pack of vicious hungry wolves attack them as they travel in search of food in a nearby bog. Clara fakes an injury to draw the pack to her while she instructs Dudley to flee and hide in the forest. After a day and a night, Clara escapes from the wolf pack and begins a search for Dudley; however, a blinding snow storm erupts making it impossible to find any trace of Dudley. After a fitful night's sleep, Clara enlists the aid of a reluctant fox that has been told by the Wise Old Owl, that Dudley is no ordinary moose; he is special and must be saved to fulfill his destiny of helping others. Other woodland creatures come to the aid of Clara as she searches for Dudley.
