The young guitar rambler Tater Malcom has the desire to make it to the big time and thinks his old family friend, Buzz Wiley, can help him get there. When the two reunite after many years, Tater discovers Buzz has lost his passion to play due to a family tragedy. It is then Tater tries to convince the music legend to pick up a guitar and play the sweet music for which he was once widely known.
