Blue Money

John Standard has finally pieced his life back together after a freak accident cost him his career as a newspaper reporter. He earns a decent living as a freelance writer, a job that taxes his energy, his finances and his principles. Then Allie Shafer shows up. A beautiful, terminally ill woman, Shafer wants Standard to chronicle her death using a physician-assisted suicide law. Standard reluctantly agrees, but finds more in Allie Shafer than a chance to earn a few dollars. Her death hits him hard, but not as hard as learning that she may not be dead after all and that her gangster boyfriend, Moses Blue, wants her back. With his own life on the line, Standard sets out on a search that takes him half way around the world to learn if Allie Shafer is dead or alive.
