Blue Jack & Yellow Cat

Hired by Stephen Austin to protect his Anglo colonies, Blue Jack Dare's task was to mete out swift justice to any Indian depredators who murdered innocent settlers or stole their children and stock. It was a job he relished and one at which he was very good.
He meets and loves a Cherokee girl, Jane Yellow Cat who was orphaned by the Comanche and taken in by the settlers of Sweet Home in the Mexican Province of Tejas. While this is primarily their love story, it is also an epic tale of survival and about the Dare family's struggle to best those who would take their land, their kin and even their lives in 1830's Texas.
