About This Book

Blood on the plains is a work of fiction of a frontiersmen named Matt Hutchins, the lone survivor of a wagon train massacre. Found and raised by the Sioux, Matt not only learns the ways of the Sioux but his survival skills are keenly honed with his tracking abilities used by both the Army and later by the sheriff of a town Named Buffalo Flats. Matt is a man who lived alone on the open plains with his trusted friend and horse 'Ole Friend a gift given to him by the Chief, the one who taught him to survive Buffalo Robes. Matt meets and falls in Love with the owner of the Buffalo Flats Dining room Miss Sally Phillips. Tough, hard and a friend to few Matt's encounters brings him to a point in his life one in which he hates to do, the Army needs him to track the very people that raised him, who are fleeing the reservations to escape hunger and captivity. Their only wish is to live free in the lands of their Elders and live in peace. A life they will never get to enjoy, Peace.
