Fifteen-year-old Tatiana leaves an orphanage in Czechoslovakia with four other girls for a new start in America, where they are promised a better life. Less than a month later, Tatiana and the others are forced into prostitution. Blood Borne Connections is a fictional thriller about the Mafia, human sex trafficking, and the ability to survive against all the odds. When a Mafia boss discovers some of his men are involved in sex trafficking children, he secretly instigates a Mafia war to cleanse his organization. In the middle of the killings, some good police officers and civilians vow to find the girls hidden in brothels all over California. They are prepared to go to any length to free them and to stop this from happening again. At the heart of this story is the injustice that so many suffer, especially children, at the hands of those seeking to exploit the innocent. About the Author: Gladys Lawson grew up in London and Nigeria. She currently lives in London and works as a microbiologist in pathology management and also volunteers as an inspirational mentor.She says, I was greatly inspired by the need to tell a story where despite the evil displayed, good wins, good survives and good reaches out and makes a difference.
