About This Book

Arthur Tremonton was born blind. A reclusive gentleman, he resents the efforts of the local charity Sisters who try to help him. Miss Rebecca Adair, the most persistent of these ‘Sisters', insists that Mr. Tremonton should have a companion to help him, but when that companion shows up, similarly afflicted and bearing a remarkable resemblance to Mr. Tremonton, questions arise regarding his family's history, as well as Rebecca's true motives. A girl with a peculiar gift, she seems certain that Tremonton can benefit by her assistance. But such assistance will require faith, sacrifice and a change of heart to have any lasting effect. Is Tremonton capable of these? Or will Rebecca find her efforts wasted? Perhaps her intentions are not to change Mr. Tremonton at all, but to help someone else more worthy.
