About This Book

Some books are difficult to describe and this is one of them. It would be fair to say that Blasé Eight is an ensemble piece which primarily follows eleven people from different walks of life with five stories which initially seem unrelated. But, that wouldn't quite be it. One could say that it's the story of Propicio; formerly a rural hamlet on the outskirts of a big city; now suburbanized. But, that wouldn't be it either. Some might mention diversions into topics which seem marginally related to the main theme. It's not a good description of the totality. The author originally said that it was about everyday life in the Western US of 2016. But, things got more complex than originally intended. If you put that all together you'll have a 50% idea of what it's all about. So, if you like reading contemporary, genre defiant stories, this is the one for you.
