Bitter Grass

It was the tough old widow, Abby Chaney, who found Devon McCloud bushwhacked and left for dead on her Bitter Grass Ranch. The old woman and her daughter were fighting a losing battle against cattle baron Charles Sampson and timber man Egert Taylor. Both men desperately wanted what the two women legally owned. To make matters worse, the Parker clan was cleaning out their cattle. Odds favoring the Chaneys survival were slim. It was supposed to be an easy takeover, but the big men never counted on McCloud buckling on his gun and stepping right in the middle of their plans. Sampson and Taylor had no intention of giving up, and Devon McCloud had never in his life backed down. War was about to break out on the Bitter Grass.
