Bitter Cross, Thankless Love

There's a secret group of people that do penance for the world's sins so that the justice of God does not end the world early. Simply known as the Penitents these people are separated by clans with their own unique penances. Some are scarred by unpunished crimes, others pay for the sins of the clan then die shortly after. These are some of their stories of pain, struggle, and bitter love.
