About This Book
This is not a children's story. This Tall Tale is Allegorical Fiction. It is figurative, not literal literature. Allegory is a symbolic fictional narrative that conveys a meaning not openly available in the narrative. Allegory encompasses Fables, Tall Tales and Parables. This is the story, including the genuine allegorical genealogy of Billy Silly Beak, Pearl the Purple Eared Bird Girl, the Wind, and Moody Zamboni the Ice Floe Boy, the rascally, rebellious, recalcitrant son of Sub-Icee and Zero Zamboni. This Tall Tale takes place in a cold black and white land far, far, far, far, far, way far north of here... It's a place where the snow blows year round in fits and starts and melts just once in a great while. For the few creatures that can stand to live there, ice instead of earth is the foundation they walk on. Now, in this cold, bleak land of all black and white, in an igloo with his parents and only sister, there lived a small penguin named Billy Silly Beak. Billy Silly Beak's sister, Merry Christmas Silly Beak, smiled all the time because she was born on Christmas day. Their mother, Goody Black Silly Beak, and their father, Batty Silly Beak, believed Merry was a Holy Bird. Goody and Batty Silly Beak believed this because they were of a deeply devout persuasion. Then Billy Silly Beak meets Pearl the Purple Eared Bird Girl, a bird of a different persuasion than the other birds living in the cold northern region. What to think? What to do? Follow their little romance as it dodges ice floes and other woes. A humorous and northern continent Allegorical romance! A 6x9 22 page book. Delightful Illustrations by the author!
