About This Book

For centuries, various members of the Renndigan Decision Elite have experienced waking visions that reveal the final images of what someone else sees before they die. A very specific vision was coming to them now, but their collective mental concentration was being splintered by their recent military failures in capturing a coveted water planet on the edge of Trorgan space. Mid-ranked operations analyst Bloppta-glokk saw how an old friend died during the most recent assault, but the horrifying vision was accompanied by unintelligible waveform images and mathematical equations that Bloppta-glokk didn't understand. Decision Elite learned of this vision, and requested that Bloppta-glokk strive to recreate the images and equation in a form they could read, claiming it was the answer to how the Trorgans were mounting such an impenetrable defense. As part of the assignment, Bloppta-glokk was transferred to a planet that the Renndigan military captured and taraformed nearly fifty years ago. This planet's technologically limited sentient species nearly repulsed the far superior Renndigan contingent because those still alive were receiving visions from their deceased comrades of how they were defeated, giving the survivors invaluable information on how to come back stronger. Once Decision Elite finally understood what was happening, the taraforming process was halted, and the few survivors from the planet were chemically forced to live decades beyond their life expectancy; Decision Elite refused to risk having this opponent reveal military secrets upon their deaths to whatever species the Renndigans might go up against next. After nearly fifty years-and after hearing Bloppta-glokk's claims-Decision Elite finally figured out a way to use this ability against the Trorgans. They sent their own people into an unwinnable battle so Bloppta-glokk would have more deceased souls offering up the secrets of the Trorgan defenses. They also put the alien prisoners to death, with the hop
