For Maggie Adams' ballet class. it was a season of endings and beginnings. Some of the students would go on to apprenticeships with the company others to universities, and others would continue with their lessons. And wait. And hope. And dream...

But Maggie can't wait. When she finds out, on her eighteenth birthday, that she isn't being offered an apprenticeship, she rushes into a strange new world of romance and relationships, of auditions and experimental dance.
