Tom Hunter wakes in hospital with no memory of how he got there. When a grizzled detective bursts into his room and cuffs him to the bed, he learns that five years have passed, and he's now wanted for murder. His business is gone, his wife has divorced him and has sole custody of a daughter he has no memory of.
He can't be the killer they're describing. But as he starts to uncover the truth of the last five years, he can't escape the evidence pointing at him as a killer.
