Beneath The Skin

Grace Page, an eighteen year old student, was embarrassed about her crippled leg and found it difficult to make friends. She was desperate to find a boyfriend and to be classed as normal. Her first boyfriend dumped her when he saw her crippled leg and she lost all her confidence and felt that she would end up an old maid. An unbelievable coincidence gave her the opportunity to begin to live, but would her crippled leg once again hold her back. Humphrey Longton was twenty and lived with his family on a farm. He was in a dead-end job and was determined to improve his lot in life and to make his dream, to own his own restaurant, come true. His three brothers and his father bullied his younger brother, who was handicapped, and his mother could not care less. Before he left the farm he would have to sort-out his brothers and his father, otherwise his younger brother would have to suffer a life of misery. He could not have predicted how an unusual set of circumstances would change his life forever.
