Ben & the Roof Gurkin

After the loss of his mother, Ben begins to hear a strange sound coming from the roof at night. With the help of his dad and the family cat, Simon, Ben tries to discover what kind of creature must be making the noise. The Gurkin, as he calls it, is a small, loveable creature that cheers people up when they are sad. When the school bully makes Ben feel silly for believing in the Gurkin, he sets out to prove once and for all that the Gurkin is real. What he learns along the way is the power of imagination and of memory, and their ability to create and preserve the most wonderful of experiences.
