Beloved Surgeon

Peter Haddon was an agreeable friend and a pleasant colleague at Queen's College Hospital, and Jill Bentley could cope with him very well; she wasn't serious about him and she knew he wasn't serious about her. No, his brother Luke was a far greater problem - for Luke was not only the R.S.O. while Jill was merely a humble junior surgeon, but he seemed to disapprove of her association with his brother.
