Billy Jacobs was no worse and no better than any other twenty year old. Not exactly lazy he still did little to find employment. Given an ultimatum by his girlfriend, Billy finds work in a local care home. There he befriends one of the residents and after taking up the offer to rent her home, dark and tragic secrets that have been hidden for over fifty years begin to emerge.
Bell Lane in the beginning is humorous and heart warming but as the reader delves deeper a taboo subject that has gone on for many years, continues today but was also prevalent in nineteen forty one will surface. East end characters at their worst and best with a way of putting things that only a true east ender can!
