Begging for Words

Around 1865 in London Town, John Dobbins' home was a cardboard box at King's Cross Station and he earned breakfast by playing his guitar. However, life among the down-and-outs changed when he met Jane, a young teenage runaway.

Vulnerable and naive, Jane came to depend on John, a good and trustworthy man whose influence led to her becoming one of the best loved and highly paid stars of the stage at the Ruby Lane Theatre. When Jane is confronted by Albert, a poor widower and father of four, her kindness in organising a handsome collection is not wasted and he too now turns his life around.
