When Clint Adams's old friend Detective Talbot Roper invites him to Denver, Colorado, to help out on a case, how can he refuse? For three years a series of robberies has besieged the southwest, and Roper believes they're all being perpetrated by a single mastermind. Clint's job is to devise a trap to catch the bandits in the act, and to outsmart their nefarious boss.
