Bargains

Brax had it all. Well, actually, he'd had too much of most things. A more decadent life had rarely been lived and even he was tiring of it. He'd made bargain after bargain with self-interest always in mind. His road to Georgia was littered with excess.            Jaime's was paved with sorrow. Her tragic youth shadowed every decision she made until a horrific accident befell her young protégé. Determined to help him recover and fulfill his dreams, she returned to Uncle Frank's house and assumed her inheritance.            The adults that arrived were as different as the journeys that led them here. Or so they thought. Mutual fascination leads to shared desire even as Jaime fights to defend herself against the one thing that scares her.
