Barca Loner

After spending five years in prison for manslaughter, Newton 'Ringo' Starr heads to Barcelona with a bag full of money that he's stolen from a drug dealer in Hastings. While hiding out in the famous Spanish city, he befriends a tall American woman called Bunny who introduces him to her circle of friends and takes him out to experience the nightlife. Meanwhile, in a beach-side bar for lonely Brits, a retired English copper called Clayton is on the lookout for UK convicts on the run, taking photos of dodgy looking characters and sending them to the National Crime Agency hoping for a big reward. As Newton gets caught in his net, he suddenly finds himself being tracked by a motley crew of British bar hounds and also the Spanish police, not to mention Bunny's recently discarded boyfriend who is also looking for payback. And as Newton battles for his independence, so too does Catalonia, as they hold an historic referendum that will have consequences for all.
