Back Yard Angel

It's summer vacation, but ten-year-old Angel O'Leary can't find much to smile about. While her mother's away at work, Angel's in charge of her little brother, Rags, and it's no easy job. No matter how hard Angel tries to stay out of trouble with Rags, something always seems to go wrong. If Rags isn't peeling letters off the side of a parked oil truck, he's stranded on top of the neighbor's roof—clinging to the TV antenna.

Though Angel likes watching Rags at home, she knows there's more to life than baby-sitting. Is it time to take those first few steps beyond her own back yard?
